Harini Ravishankar
Clinical Nutritionist
About
Harini Ravishankar is a hospital-trained Clinical Nutritionist who supports patients through some of the hardest stretches of recovery. At Aster DM Healthcare in Bengaluru, she delivered nutrition care across oncology, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, and paediatrics, building diet plans for complex cases where eating itself had become difficult.
Much of her clinical work sits with people recovering after cancer treatment and major surgery. She has managed enteral and tube feeding for patients unable to eat normally, combining commercial feeds with home-kitchen recipes, and tracked recovery through handgrip strength, mid-arm circumference, and weight so that the plan could change as the patient did. She carries the same care into metabolic and gut health, working with diabetes, fatty liver, PCOS, weight management, IBS, and acid reflux.
Harini is a Certified Diabetes Educator and works from evidence, lab reports, and each patient's real circumstances rather than a fixed template. She builds plans alongside the medical team, designed to work with medication rather than against it, and stays with patients through follow-up so that small, steady changes hold.
Experience
Currently: Harini Ravishankar is a Clinical Nutritionist at Zarity Health, where she supports patients through structured recovery and chronic care, spanning oncology nutrition, post-surgical recovery, and metabolic health. She is also pursuing an MSc in Human Nutrition at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.
Previously: Harini worked as a Clinical Nutritionist at Aster DM Healthcare, Aster Whitefield Hospital, Bengaluru (2022 to 2024). There she delivered nutrition care across neurology, oncology, gastroenterology, paediatrics, and cardiology, designed disease-specific diet plans including enteral nutrition for complex cases, and worked with multidisciplinary medical teams to align nutrition with the wider treatment plan.
Earlier, she trained as an Intern Dietician at Aster CMI Hospital, Hebbal, Bengaluru (2021 to 2022), running nutrition screening and assessment with tools such as the hand dynamometer, BCA, and DEXA, counselling patients across a wide range of conditions, and planning nutrition for ICU patients, transplant recipients, and rare genetic disorders. Her first clinical exposure came through a dietetics internship with JSS Medical Hospital, Mysuru (2020).
