Onco-Recovery Programme · Breast Cancer, Stage I–III

Rebuild your strength after breast cancer, alongside your oncologist.

A structured 12-week programme of supervised physiotherapy and clinical nutrition, for your shoulder movement, strength, and nutrition during and after surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.

Not sure yet? Start with a baseline physiotherapy assessment or a nutrition consultation. If you join, the fee is adjusted against the programme.

  • Coordinated with your oncologist, never a replacement for their care
  • In-clinic at the Zarity Recovery Clinic, Koramangala · and on the Zarity app
  • Protocols based on international oncology guidelines (ASPEN, ESPEN, ASCO)
Why recovery care matters

Your oncologist treats the cancer. We help you recover from it.

Active treatment takes a toll the body does not undo on its own. Fatigue that rest does not fix, strength and muscle lost over months, an appetite that has changed. The programme is 12 structured weeks of physiotherapy, clinical nutrition, and weekly coordination, built to run alongside your oncologist's care.

Everything we do complements your oncologist's treatment, working alongside their plan as your recovery progresses.

At home, a woman sitting on her sofa lifts a rolled towel to chest height while following her exercises on her phone, her daughter beside her.
Built on clinical guidelines

Our physiotherapy and nutrition protocols follow international oncology guidelines (ASPEN, ESPEN, ASCO), adapted for Indian patients.

"I went through cancer treatment myself, and found there was almost no structured care for the recovery that comes after. So we built it."

Dwija Sharma, Founder
Safe by design

We work alongside your oncologist, never instead of them.

The most common worry we hear is whether recovery care will clash with cancer treatment. It will not. Here is exactly where the line sits.

Your oncologist

Owns your diagnosis, treatment plan, and medication.

Chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and everything about treating the cancer stays with your treating team.

Zarity

Owns your recovery: physiotherapy, nutrition, coordination.

We rebuild strength and nutrition around your treatment, and adjust as it changes.

  • We never diagnose, prescribe, or change your medication or oncology plan.
  • Anything outside our scope is flagged straight back to your treating oncologist.
  • After your assessment, your physiotherapist guides you on the next steps.

This programme is not an emergency or acute-care service. For urgent symptoms or emergencies, contact your treating hospital or nearest emergency facility. Our care team is available Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

What we help with

The problems we work on, one by one.

Breast cancer treatment affects more than the cancer. These are the problems our onco-physiotherapist and clinical nutritionist help with most.

  • A physiotherapist supports a woman’s arm and shoulder as she raises her arm forward at the clinic.Shoulder and movement after surgeryStiffness, scar tightness and weakness after breast surgery.
  • Seated on a treatment couch, a woman holds out her arm while a physiotherapist gently supports it and looks at her forearm.LymphedemaSwelling in your arm or hand after surgery or radiation.
  • A clinical nutritionist shows a woman and her husband a meal plan on a tablet during a consultation.Eating during treatmentAppetite, taste and weight changes through chemotherapy and hormone therapy.
  • A woman slowly stands up from a chair while a physiotherapist beside her watches the movement.Fatigue and strengthTiredness that rest does not fix, and strength lost during treatment.
Your recovery, week by week

A clear plan for the 12 weeks, shaped around how you are doing.

  1. Weeks 0–1 · Baseline assessment

We look at where your body is during or after treatment, from movement and swelling to appetite and energy, and build a plan around you.

  2. Weeks 2–4 · Early rehabilitation

Gentle, guided movement to ease stiffness and swelling, with a simple eating routine for tiredness, appetite, or swallowing changes.

  3. Weeks 5–9 · Progressive strengthening

As you feel ready, we build back movement and strength in your shoulder, arm, or neck, and adjust your food plan to how your body responds.

  4. Weeks 10–12 · Review and next steps

We look at how far you have come and decide together what is next, whether that is carrying on, easing off, or finishing up. Your oncologist gets a full update.

Every week is shaped around you, with your care team beside you the whole way.

Questions, answered

The things people ask before they join.

Will this interfere with my cancer treatment?

No. We work alongside your oncologist and never change your treatment or medication. Everything we do complements their plan, and anything outside our scope goes straight back to your treating team.

Do I need my oncologist’s approval to join?

Not always. You start with a one-hour assessment with our onco-physiotherapist, who checks that the programme suits you. If your treatment calls for it, we check with your oncologist before you begin.

Do I have to visit the clinic, or can this be done from home?

Both. Hands-on physiotherapy happens in person at our clinic in Koramangala, Bengaluru, and much of your nutrition, reviews, and coordination continues through the Zarity app between visits.

Who will I actually be working with?

A clinical nutritionist, an onco-physiotherapist, and a dedicated Patient Navigator who coordinates everything week to week. You can see them in the team section above.

Is the programme covered by insurance?

We do not currently support insurance claims for the programme. The fee is paid directly.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Your information is handled in line with our privacy policy, and shared only with your care team to run your programme.

What if I need to stop partway?

You can cancel at any time. Cancellations and refunds are handled per our refund & cancellation policy, linked in the footer.
